In the mid-twentieth century, Francisco Dosamantes was one of Mexico's most creative, well-known artists and was a full member of the
Taller Grafica Popular. He was equally proficient in both lithograph and linocut. In particular, his lithographs concentrated upon the
portrayal of women and are famous for their monumental qualities. Dosamantes never indicated the edition size of his lithographs but
it is known that none exceeded 250 impressions and that most were published in very small editions.
